Community Development

Local Right Programme is an approach to development from a human right perspective, were individuals that are rights – holders can make legitimate claims, and states and other actors are duty bearers that are responsible and can be held accountable for their acts or omissions. Right holders are conscientized on their rights from duty bearers because they are citizens; how and where theses rights can be demanded. This strategy of development is engendering accountability and transparency from duty bearers to right holders.

Through this strategy, communities have received social amenities from government such as electricity in Ikota community, health center wasimi odunwo, ile – oluji local government area, takeover of a community secondary school in bolorunduro Akure North local government.
